Haymarket Media Group wanted a way to level up the visual capture of their 2024 C&IT event series. Enter Lim.
In this case study we’re shining a light on the C&IT Agency Forum 2024, which took place in Shoreditch in London.
It was a 2-day conference for event industry professionals, and this year’s theme was ‘An Era of Co-Creation’, which explored AI, Collaboration and Inclusion and the impact these trends have on the industry.
We were asked to capture the content in a big and visual way, so two of our visualisers, Ellie P and Connie went to live-scribe the sessions.
To set the scene, this is the second C&IT event that we’ve visualised as part of our ongoing work with Haymarket. The first was the C&IT Sustainability Forum. This was a brilliant event and we knew what we needed to deliver.
Taking our learnings and experience from this meant that we could level up the impact of the visual for the participants of the C&IT Agency Forum.
In the run-up to the event, we were busy planning with the Haymarket team how to create the most impactful visual.
We decided that scale was the way to go and that 6 metres of paper was the answer. It was a big venue with plenty of space - a graphic recorder's dream.
In this case, we knew we needed to design the visual in a way that different sections of content could be pulled out and used separately. The Lim team had a genius idea to do this through the use of colour and gradient.

Ellie P and Connie supported the C&IT team by capturing key headlines live from the content sessions over the two days using their refillable Neuland pens.
As well as live-scribing the speaker sessions, they also chatted with participants and asked for their key takeaways to make sure everything was captured. This is also a great way to encourage interaction and conversation around the visual.
Here's what Tom Rossage (Event Executive, Haymarket Media Group) said about the visual:
'It’s a way of showing off your event’s content that you wouldn’t have thought you could.'
At Lim, we’re always thinking about the past, present and future for a visual and how it can have long-lasting impact.
After the event, the visual was scanned so the Haymarket team received both a digital copy and the original artwork. This was then used in a variety of ways:
The artwork was used in post-event comms to thank participants and summarise the event.
The artwork will be used to advertise for the next event.
The Haymarket team also created video content for social media.
The original visual has been sent to the team ready for use in their office.

C&IT is part of the Haymarket Media Group, and we’re visualising a series of events with them this year. At the moment we’re in the depths of planning for the C&IT Festival of Forums in July. Watch this space.
“Thank you so much, it’s been great working with you, Ellie P and Connie. Really looking forward to seeing you at the Festival of Forums.”
