Digital and pen live scribe, playbook
The Meetings Show is the leading exhibition for the events and meetings industry, and with over 4,500 attendees from around the world, it’s one of our biggest events of the year.
For the third year running, we were there to visually capture the two-day event at the ExCel Centre in London, but this time we had a plan to do things a little differently.
It was our third time there and we knew the drill and what was going to work. We always want TMS to be leading the way in capturing content at events like this. Event Director, Jack Marczewski is always keen to push the boundaries and try something a little different. He trusts us.
We worked closely with him and developed the idea to create a playbook, as well as live scribing the event and creating shareable visuals of key learnings from the speakers.
The aim of this multi-pronged approach was to demonstrate how impactful different types of visuals can be when working at this type of big event, to create meaningful outcomes that continue to inspire long after it finishes.

Phoebe was back drawing on large 3.5m boards, which was engaging for people as they could watch it grow and change in real time. She was live capturing key learnings from the Blank Canvas stage, a space where experts come together to collaborate and have creative, inspiring conversations about the industry.
TMS had displayed our live visual from last year as one of the walls which was great because it meant that people could visually see how the industry had changed and progressed from one year to the next. It was even referenced throughout the talks. The board Phoebe created this year will become part of this learning journey and will be displayed again next year.
Meanwhile, Ellie P was creating a playbook. A playbook is a rich visual document that would usually take weeks to develop, but Ellie was able to create a succinct version over the two days. It’s an amazing way of getting a detailed summary of the information and learnings all in one place and we filled it with images, quotes, drawings, and key takeaways.
Read more about playbooks here.
Tom & Kieran spent the two days on their iPads, drawing snappy, shareable graphics of key themes from the speakers over two stages. They drew these in a square format so that they’d be instantly shareable, get TMS talked about on social media, and create a buzz. They each visualised 12 sessions over the two days, so TMS had loads of content to work with.
The Meetings Show was thrilled with everything and the diverse range of visuals were able to create through our collaborative and trusted relationship with our client. The Playbook will be shared with attendees of the show, along with the big visual. The digital visuals will be shared with the speakers. Also, we've spotted the visuals popping up on socials with some really great feedback.

‘Genius idea to pull all the key points together in a bespoke art piece by Lim’ - Alexandra Amor, Associate Director, RBC Investor Services
We approach every job we do with curiosity and excitement at what can be created, and it was amazing to have the team all working together in different areas to provide a multi-faceted approach to visualising an event. What we offer goes beyond just ‘live scribing’, and really showcases how we think about all angles of an event and audience engagement so our visuals shine.
We're excited to see what next year brings.
We put so much care into the creation of the education programme, that without Lim there's a danger all this rich information would float away afterwards. With Lim’s help, we are able to keep it and share it wide.

C&IT Agency Forum
Haymarket Media Group wanted a way to level up the visual capture of their 2024 C&IT event series. We were asked to capture the content in a big and visual way, so two of our visualisers, Ellie P and Connie went to live-scribe the sessions.
Linney at Event Production Show
Linney had a stand at The Event Production Show 2024 and was offering attendees live problem-solving sessions. Lim maximised the impact of these by bringing the conversations to life in a visual way.
