Ellie joins the Board of Governors at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College

Ellie Chapman, Founder and Creative Director at Lim, has been appointed as a General Governor at Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College in Darlington, County Durham.

Ellie is passionate about championing the next generation and hopes to support creative students to help them find their space and prepare them to step into the world of work or university.

As an advocate for health and wellness, Ellie will put her energy into plans to educate students about the benefits of prioritising wellness for them at school and beyond, while also putting into practice real-life skills such as managing bills, applying for mortgages and money management.

Ellie believes that students need the space to be their full selves, and to be taught skills that will help them succeed in life.

We are absolutely delighted to have Ellie join the QE Local Governing Body team and look forward to working with her.

Ellie is already on the board of advisers and a mentor for creative mentoring programme The Arena, and she’s given talks at her old school, Yarm, to inspire students creatively.

She can’t wait to get stuck in.

Sixth Form students are at an age where they need to make big decisions about their future. I hope that by joining the board I can make an impact by guiding them creatively and helping them to leave school with important life skills.
