Let the sunshine in
At Lim, we’re really big on physical, mental, and emotional wellness, and we believe in them wholeheartedly. For us, everything from fitness and nutrition to sleep and mindfulness is fundamental to our daily lives.
This month, Phoebe drew an infographic based on her personal experience of listening to a conversation on the Feel Better, Live More podcast by Doctor Rangan Chatterjee and Andrew Huberman. The two talk about access to sunlight, and why even in winter, it’s so important for a happy and fulfilling life. Here’s Phoebe to tell you more.
Just what the doctor ordered
'I picked this podcast because the title sounded cool. I thought to myself, “I could do with boosting my energy and improving my sleep,” so it seemed perfect.
It’s made me aware of how natural light can affect not just your sleep but your overall health too. What I loved about the podcast was that it wasn’t just someone telling me to do something because I should – it explained the science behind it in a way that was quite visual. Because I’m a visual learner, it just stuck. Dr. Chatterjee and Andrew Huberman talk about how our rhythms can be disrupted by changing our exposure to light and simple things we can do to reset. It inspired me to get outside – there I was in my courtyard with a coffee, almost feeling a bit delirious after jumping out of bed first thing, but I felt like it had a massive improvement on my day.
