Trend Forecasting: Business & Workplace Trends 2025

Trend Forecasting for 2025

At Lim, we’re global leaders in visualising business content, and our curious minds are always thinking about the next big thing.

From my work and experiences as Lim's Founder, I’ve pulled together a list of workplace and business trends I think we’ll be seeing a lot of in 2025.

Lim's trends for 2025

Here are my predictions:

Employee wellbeing is the key to retaining top talent

Companies that prioritise flexible working and employee wellbeing will continue to be the most desirable. Gen Z is leading the way in demanding a more inclusive work environment, and companies are having to pivot to attract and retain top talent. 2025 will see inclusive wellbeing programmes being central to company culture; where gender, race and neurodiversity are all taken into account so employees feel supported.

Is it the end of 9-5?

The four-day work week is gaining momentum. It promotes employee wellbeing and boosted productivity as work/life balance takes centre stage. Consider how the use of visuals can streamline work and bring together teams quickly and efficiently. Will 2025 see the end of the traditional 9-5?

AI can’t be ignored

Love it or hate it, we can no longer ignore AI. 2025 will see businesses integrating generative AI into their strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs, and it’s presence will be felt across most industries. While AI takes over the more mundane tasks in the workplace, strong leadership teams that nurture employees will be in demand.

Brands need to promote trust

Customer experience is key. But businesses need to understand what the customer wants and nail their demographic. Is it speed of reply, a personalised experience, or a companies ESG policies that customers value? We’ll see businesses focusing on the way they make a customer feel to promote trust in a world where people are increasingly scrutinitising what they see and believe online.

Change takes time

We’ll see businesses diversifying their portfolios to make sure keeping up with increasing customer demands. Smaller businesses are able to pivot more quickly, but it takes time to make change in big businesses. Often strategies are in place but we need to be patient to see change.

Building a sense of community

With the rise of technology, people are craving human experiences and connections. We predict we’ll see an increase in brands empowering local communities by creating opportunities for people to come together over a shared interest. We’ll also see bigger businesses providing this sense of community and connectedness within their organisations by offering more experiences for employees outside of work.

An increase in research visualisation

The demand for research being visualised is going to increase. Studies show that visuals increase learning by up to 400% vs text alone, and researchers are taking note. Not only does it increase accessibility, but it can help secure funding too so we can see this trend gaining momentum.

Tackling sustainability head on

Sustainability within the events industry is no longer optional. Events will tackle wastage head on and adopt more environmentally friendly practises throughout. We predict we’ll see this through less paper and freebies, with event organisers thoughtfully planning how to engage audiences to reduce wastage. Live scribing events and conferences is a brilliant way to do this without impacting the environment.
